Example

A business does not normally pay Corporation Tax or Income Tax on its turnover. Tax is calculated on taxable profit after allowable business expenses. So where a Cornwall Trusted advertising or sponsorship cost qualifies as an allowable business expense, it can reduce the taxable profit on which tax is calculated.

The minimum £25 administration fee contributes towards checking and structuring submissions, creating and maintaining the platform, supporting the business database, administration, search and category infrastructure and future development.

It also creates a deliberate relationship between the participating business and Cornwall Trusted.

What makes the £595 package different?

It isn't a £595 listing. It is a wider Digital Trust and Growth package.

The business's digital footprint is reviewed across multiple areas and the Cornwall Trusted profile becomes one element of that wider work.

The normal package value is £1,250. The Founding 1,000 price is £595.

Does £595 guarantee a 100 percent trust score?

No.

Cornwall Trusted can work through the relevant digital trust elements with the business and help identify gaps and improvements. A business cannot pay to receive a 100 percent trust score.

Do you guarantee sales or referrals?

No.

Cornwall Trusted creates visibility, discovery, profile infrastructure, network connections and referral opportunities. Actual commercial outcomes depend upon participation, customer demand, the business itself and wider market conditions.

Can small businesses join?

Absolutely.

Cornwall Trusted is designed particularly around Cornwall's independent, micro and owner managed businesses. A business can begin with the £25 profile rather than purchasing the full £595 package.

What if a business needs help but cannot afford major improvements?

Where appropriate, Cornwall Trusted can identify and signpost relevant support, training, grants, finance or programmes.

We cannot promise that funding will be available. Eligibility always depends on the individual scheme and circumstances.
